The album includes several landmark Oasis songs, tracks like ‘Acquiesce’, originally found on the ‘Some Might Say’ CD single and unforgettably co-sung by the Gallagher brothers, and ‘Half The World Away’, from the ‘Whatever’ CD single, which later found fame as the theme tune to the much-loved comedy series ‘The Royle Family’ - not to mention the epic title track, which originally appeared as the fourth bonus track on the ‘Wonderwall’ CD single. The sound quality is quite good with only a little bit of distortion creeping in on the last song of side 3 and 4. It also includes ‘Talk Tonight’ a remarkable solo acoustic recording by Noel, plus ‘Stay Young,’ ‘Listen Up’, ‘Going Nowhere’, ‘Fade Away’ and ‘Rockin’ Chair’… songs so good they would have been singles for any other band.His full length debut on Daptone Records is equal parts raw feeling and elegance and exudes confidence and charm. Over the last few months he has disarmed packed rooms of rowdy concert goers, leaving them silent as they hold fast to every syllable sung. Not sure if this is the same as the 2016 release that a lot of people have been complaining about but, either way, the one I’ve got sounds pretty darn good and I’m happy with it.
