About this deal

I devoured this book in a couple of hours and felt my perspective of myself and my adhd shift enormously.

My husband was diagnosed as a kid and just given meds to calm down without the skills or therapy to actually learn to live with it. While I just finished reading this on my own, it’s a book we plan to read as a family to understand ourselves and each other better. The whole advice about treating people with more compassion is my major take away from this book – and something I will really try to practice! Which also seems like those people are less likely to be picking this book up with the tagline it has but…I digress.Chapters are split into Rox providing a dull anecdote, and some advice which is "I rely on Rich", followed by Rich providing the exact same anecdote and advice only worded slightly differently. Fakt, że neurotypowa osoba bez wykształcenia psychologicznego ma tak dużo do powiedzenia o neuroróżnorodności. I don't doubt that this book will help a lot of people with ADHD, but for myself (diagnosed with ADHD) and my boyfriend (who wants to understand my diagnosis) this book was just a bit boring and repetitive. The book is really honest about my struggles through some of the darkest days of undiagnosed ADHD, as well as sharing all of the tips we have discovered for living a happy, unmasked, and supported life! I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this from ‘A’ through the post as she thought I might find it helpful.

She was on her way to cram for her actual exam tomorrow, when she heard some other students struggling with a topic she was familiar with. Please try again later as the restrictions may be lifted, or contact your service provider if the issue persists. There are some nice tidbits of advice, and the story is well-performed, but overall this was not worth the time for the limited guidance offered. While it's beautiful to see so much non-judgement, the American toxic individuality baked right into my psyche had a real problem with just how far that support went.

Filled with heartbreak and humour in equal measure, DIRTY LAUNDRY is an invaluable resource both for neurodivergents and the people who love them. I couldn’t help giggling at the “hyper-focusing on this book” line as I sat doing oddball tasks intending to do just that. I am a 32 year old AuDHDer (I'm autistic and have ADHD - as well as other common mental health comorbidities). This is not a medical journal or a work of literary genius – but it’s a really accessible insight into a couple where one has ADHD and one is neuro typical. I did cry for at least 8/10 of the chapters- it is so hard for me to explain that shame you are so good at explaining.

If you’re like Rox and have lived with diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD, you may have struggled with this.Picture this: Rox is in her university library, passionately helping her fellow students study for their upcoming economics exam. for my marriage this is a great book because hearing from both Rox and Rich, my husband has realized some things I do really aren't my fault always, what I do isn't personal and against him. Learn how to: • Stop believing you are fundamentally broken • Stop judging yourself by the standards of a neurotypical world • Communicate your struggles to those who love you • Support someone with ADHD in ways that work for them • Be compassionate rather than judgemental .
